Default Suggestion Ingame Recruitment Tool

Guild Wars one of the hardest games to recruit in. People superficially look for guilds which carry HA rank or guilds that are top 200 etc. Makes it hard to start a guild from scratch as the guild wars community in general likes the easy path and prefers to leach off other guilds achievements. While others resort to ingame spamming of recruitment messages in an attempt to get some members so there guild can fulfill it's ambitions. I myself prefer to create a guild community regardless of rank somewhere you can have a laugh and be competive at the same time but without ingame spamming where there are likely 2-3 other guilds are recruiting to. I think the addition of an ingame recruitment tool could do wonders for guild wars especially for guilds that find it difficult to recruit within there timezones Australia is a good example being inbetween US and european players gaming times.

Tool could have like an interface similar to observer mode popup that you can activate but with a few differences. Search function is the main concept of the tool add in what sort of stuff you are looking for in a guild.

Example Searches:

Server: US
Playerbase: Australia (GMT+8-10)
PvP: Yes
PvE: No
Age Req: 18+
Ladder Rank: under 1000
HA Rank Req: 3+
TS/Vent: Yes
Forums: Yes
Hall: Yes
Alliance: Kurzick

add N/A also to search engine field for non relevant info.

Then once search is complete a list of guilds appear showing name, tag and leader name. Select a guild you may be interested select contact leader and you can begin from there. A nice feature also would be if on leaders name it showed there ingame experience HA rank, balthazar, time playing it would help people choose guilds with more stable leadership.

Agree on general idea. However I see as a much more simple thing:

An NPC in major towns. Interface very similar to [Records] NPC in challenge mission outposts.

Guild leader can talk to NPC to make his guild searchable, as well as entering some text for stuff like short description of the guild and short description of what kind of players they looking for.

Any player can talk to that NPC to search thru guild names and descriptions and get the name of the leader and the officers (or just leader) for each result. As well as few nice things like cape logo, amount of members, guild rank, whatever.

That would be nice, but it won't stop the guild-hoppers who continually start with one guild and then quit without warning to join another (usually that 'helps' with runners or unlimited gold or uber weapons) and so on. Your basic small PvE guild that doesn't offer runners, especially, does not stand much of a chance. (I know from experience)

It would make it difficult...hmmm

To prevent the top guild leaders from getting whispers from too many players in GW, (and I mean the 'newer' players) I would eliminate the guild ladder, and because it is updated so frequently as well.

HA rank req should be removed either, that just promotes the flaws in the current ranking system.

Other than that... seems reasonable^^
